01 · Overview
Overview
From the highlands of Kedamesa in Ethiopia's renowned Limu region, this washed coffee is produced by second-generation farmer Negash Abarago. Grown at over 2,000 metres above sea level, the combination of rich soils, cool mountain air and careful processing produces a beautifully clean and elegant cup. Bright citrus, delicate sweetness and a refined finish make this a wonderful example of why Ethiopian coffees are celebrated around the world.
02 · Origin
Origin
The Limu region is known for producing coffees with exceptional clarity and balance. High elevations slow the development of the cherries, allowing complex sugars and flavours to develop naturally before harvest.

About the Producer
Negash Abarago is a second-generation coffee farmer who has spent more than a decade producing coffee on his family's farm in Kedamesa. Alongside coffee, the farm grows bananas, avocados and false bananas, helping support both the family and the local community. Coffee remains the farm's primary source of income, with each harvest reflecting years of experience and dedication to quality.
04 · Processing
Processing
Only fully ripe cherries are hand-picked before being pulped and soaked overnight using a traditional washed process. The beans are then thoroughly washed and dried on raised African beds for around 10 to 12 days. Throughout drying they are carefully protected from rain and strong sunlight, ensuring an even drying process and preserving the coffee's clean, vibrant character.

I wanted to include a classic washed Ethiopian alongside some of the fruitier natural coffees in the range. This coffee is all about clarity, balance and elegance rather than bold intensity. My aim when roasting it is to highlight the bright citrus notes while preserving the smooth sweetness that makes it enjoyable whether brewed as a clean filter coffee or a vibrant espresso.
